Round and About

We are approximately 15 minutes walk from the historic port of Charlestown which has a beach. There is parking if you prefer to drive.

Beaches at Par, Porthpean, Pentewan and Carlyon Bay are a few minutes drive away.

Attractions are too numerous to list the most well known being the Eden Project 10 minutes drive away and The Lost Gardens of Heligan 15 minutes drive as is the fishing port of Mevagissey, Fowey is approximately 20 minutes.

Most attractions are all year round and have special attractions to mirror the seasons. Eden features Bulb Mania, when in excess of 1 million bulbs burst into life in the spring. In Autumn, a Time of Gifts, in addition Eden is a major concert venue and has hosted Peter Gabriel, Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. Fowey holds the Daphne Du Maurier festival.

Their are numerous gardens and historic houses close by.

The coast path cycle trails are on the doorstep. The Luxulyan Valley close by has numerous circular walks, for example. The Pentewan valley trail close by the house runs to the coast or to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
